AUGUST BABY BOOK UPDATES...
You twirl around and around and make yourself dizzy!
You dance when a song comes on…whether it is music from a commercial, toy, tv show, etc….
You LOVE to take out all the cereal, etc…from the bottom cabinet in the kitchen and then climb in it and sit inside. I believe you think this is your own lil fort. This drives Grandma crazy!
You know how to turn around and back yourself off the furniture (feet first) ….only a few bumps and bruises while learning this.
Still like to throw your dirty diapers away for us in the trash can!
If we say “Let’s change your pants” you go to the diaper drawer and pull one out and set it on the floor for us to change you! This is usually only when you are in a good mood!
8-10-09 You FINALLY learned to feed yourself with a fork! Mommy had to put your dinner on the fork…then you would take it from me and put it in your mouth. You thought you were pretty cool!
You LOVE bye-bye and riding in the car!!! If we say “Wanna go BYE BYE”? You start screaming (in excitement) and head to the door! The car is just as exciting for you! You love when mommy plays your nursery rhyme CD…your favorite songs on there are “The wheels on the bus”; “6 Little Ducks”!!!
8-8-09 you went to your first lil birthday party for your friend Lydia (daughter of mommy’s friend Kristin) who turned one! (Picture below of the two of you) You had fun…took you just a few minutes to warm up to everyone and then you were all over the place!!! You had a hard time understanding that the toys belonged to Lydia. You were VERY happy that she let you play on her new slide. Mommy is gonna have to buy you a slide of your own now!
You now let mommy brush your teeth. Mommy only had to do a few times and now you take the brush from me and try to do it yourself! I think you like the toothpaste more than anything. You have approx. 8 teeth now! Big Girl! We usually brush your teeth after bath time.
You hold the brush up to your hair and try to do it yourself….you hold the Q-Tip up to your ear and try to do it yourself. You hold the phone up to your ear as if you are talking! You are VERY observant and catch on to a lot of things.
You became more interested in watching Disney movies (FINALLY!) You like Finding Nemo and Bolt so far! Still LOVE your Elmo dvds and of course BLUES CLUES is still your favorite!
I have came to get you out of your crib a few times lately when you have woken up from your nap and there you are….smiling and NAKED with your diaper stuffed in the corner of your crib!!!
You are such a BIG GIRL now Kaityn! Sometimes mommy wishes so badly that you would stop growing and be my lil baby forrrrrrrrever! But i must admit...you are a blessing and mommy enjoys watching you grow (like a weed) and seeing your lil personality come through! You are quiet a comedian! Let me tell ya! And you are truly LOVED by everyone!!! This is you and Great Grandma Gail (TRIPLE "G") at dinner the night of the fireworks. You love your Great Grandparents and they love and spoil you! =)
Another one of your favorite past times is hanging out on the deck! You like to come out and play with your kitties....Schamp, Baby, Elvis and Otis (yes FOUR cats) uhhhhhhhhhhh...otherwise you just hang out here to be nosey. Oh and to stare at the pool and point over an over again trying to give me your suttle hint of "PUT ME IN THE POOL"!!!
