**OCTOBER UPDATES** 19 MNTHS OLD

OCTOBER 2009 BABY BOOK UPDATES

10-2-09 – 10-5-09 Grandma, Kaitlyn, Mom, Great Grandma Gail and Great Grandpa Bob drove down to Aunt Charlotte’s house on the Lake of the Ozarks. You were very good in the car. You loved when we would stop for lunch and when you could RUN all over the rest stops and stretch your lil legs out. You also got to go on your very first boat ride AND actually got to drive the boat with Great G-pa. For the most part you liked it….although it was very windy and you didn’t like your life jacket too much. You sure started to be more vocal on the trip though! You would tell us all kinds of stories (in your own language)! You said "Bye-Bye"; "Grapes"; "Grandpa" and "Puppy" clear as day on the trip. You stayed in a spare room with mommy and slept like a big girl in your pack & play! You sleep through the whole night…minus a few times when you would have to turn on your favorite music toy from your crib and the music would put you right back to sleep.

10-13-09 FINALLY started to blow kisses!!!! You put your hand on your mouth, smack your lips and then take your hand off!! It is soooo cute! Grandma Gail has been trying to get you to do this for awhile now. Woo Hoo!

10/09 This month you have really taken interest in your baby dolls. You hold them, wheel them around in your shopping cart, you like to give them your paci and some of your bottle which you find pretty funny! You look so grown up when you play with your baby dolls. It is cute but it makes mommy realize how fast you are growing! Love You!

10/25/09 Every Sunday we make our weekly trip over to Pappa’s! You love it there (prolly because poppa tries to sneak you treats & POP!!!) Plus, you like the fact that everyone (poppa, oma, “bittany” (Aunt Brittany), Aunt Lindsey (when she is in town from school) and uncle Joey) all fight over you! Lately, we have been having a “DANCE OFF” at Poppa’s and it seems this is your favorite activity….You really like to do the STANKY LEG which is a hip hop dance that your Aunt Brittany taught you! Now you do it all the time!!

10/27/09 You helped Grandma and Mommy carve your FIRST official pumpkin! You had one last year but you were too little to help in the festivities of scooping all the yucky stuff out. You seemed to have fun! Mommy made a BABY PUMPKIN for you and you were a lil upset that the baby pumpkin had one of your paci’s! You sure didn’t want to share! Unfortunately, your Paci's are like GOLD! We're not having much luck taking this bad habit away from you!

10/09 Your new favorite song is the theme song from the Disney movie “Bolt”. It is called “I thought I lost you” by Miley Cyrus and John Travolta! You want to watch the video (and the movie) over and over again. This drives your Grandma NUTS.

10/18/09 I recorded the pig movie called “Babe” for you to watch and when you watched it the first time you looooved to watch all the animals. You kept pointing to each one of the animals and wanted mommy to make the sounds. The COW sound seems to be your favorite right now! You finally started doing it yourself!

10/18/09 You showed more interest in playing dress up. You like when mommy dresses you up with all your different shoes; headbands; tutus; etc….! You still love to walk around with necklaces on and of course your hot pink Feather Boa!

10/09 You’re obsessed with your little magnet letters. You love to have mommy tell you each individual letter you hold up. You love to say “E” and usually will hand me the right letter. Big Girl!! You always go for the “S”; “G”; “B” and “E”!! Not sure why but those are your favorite right now.

10/09 You are definitely a Mommy’s girl! When mommy is home on the weekends, we don’t leave each other’s side. I wouldn’t have it ANY other way! I think you especially like when we wrestle and rough house around the house! You love to play hide & seek. You started hiding behind the pillows on the couch & then JUMP out and try to scare us. When we run all over the house...grandma comes upstairs and says "What is going on up here"? And you and I both think this is pretty funny!

10/09 still a picky eater but loooove your fruits & veggies (which is good)!

10/09 another favorite pastime that you picked up on is coloring. You LOVE markers (you don’t get these often), crayons, and like to scribble on paper. It’s really cute to see you try and hold sooo many crayons in your lil hand. You get mad when they fall out.

10/30/09 Grandma got you all dressed up in your halloween costume and took you trick or treating to Great Grandma Fuller's job and then brought you up to Mommy’s job so we could show everyone your kitty cat costume. You went as a Black cat (with a white belly and pink ears and a tail) we put make up on your face and you wore black leggings; black gloves and black fur boots. SO CUTE! You still wouldn’t walk around by yourself though, You wanted mommy to carry you because You were being extremely SHY with everyone. When I would put you down, you would go to a corner and try to hide. You seemed to be more open with the men. GO KAITLYN. HAH!

10/31/09
You had a great Halloween. Mommy took you over to GREAT GRANDPA & GREAT GRANDMA GAIL'S HOUSE before heading over to Poppa's. Everyone laughed at how cute you looked in your costume. Best thing about Halloween was how much you LOOOOOOVED the tootsie rolls suckers and how you got them all OVER the place!! You would scream everytime someone would try and take it from you. You were sticky from head to toe. We stayed a lil too long over at Pappa Joe’s house and you got VERY VERY CRABBY! Only because you were extremely overlytired. Mommy tried to change your pants and you freeeeeaked so Aunt Brittany picked you up and you slapped her. OH MY POOH, quite the lil temper you have! You got a lil slap on the hand for that one.
10/31/09
Aunt Brittany was playing with you at Pappa Joe’s on the computer chair and spinning you around and taught you how to say “GO”!!! She would say “Ready? 1….2……3….” and then you would scream loudly “GOOOOOOOOOOO” for her to spin you again.
